My take on Pryor

First let me just say I am glad he chose Ohio State over Michigan and Penn State.  Is it because I think he is the next great thing?  No, not really, the kid has things to prove at the next level.  On the chance that he can fulfill or surpass the potential that seemingly everyone has identified I am glad he is on my team.  Mostly what I hope for the kid is that he enjoys his time at Ohio State (I probably enjoyed mine a little toooooooooooooooooooo, alright a lot, toooooooooooooooooooooo much.

I hope he enjoys his time in the Dorm (OSU has a rule that all Frosh live in a dorm or with a family member), in the classroom, and on the playing field.  I still look back on my time there as 4 of the best years of my life.  Welcome to the family Terrelle, we are really glad you are here.

IF THE TERRIBLE TWO'S DON"T KILL ME..............

HELP.................My house, my mind , and my life have been taken over by the terrible 2's.  Where did my sweet angelic little girl go?  Over the last several days she has been replaced by a she devil that has the most piercing scream you have ever heard.  She is willful and stubborn.  She makes taking her anywhere absolute torture.  She won't sit on the potty and throws a fit at absolutely nothing.  In short she is 2 and every bit of it.

If both of us make it through this stage it will be a miracle.

Advice, earplugs, Xanax

YOU HAVE THE FLU--- SUCK IT UP AND MOVE ON

Do you have a sore throat, runny nose, fever, body aches, a cough that sounds like it comes from your toes, and feel generally like a big steaming pile of........

Guess what, you most likely have the flu and it bites.  However unless you are old, very young, or have another chronic health condition and need to be admitted to a hospital there is very little that can be done.

Why the rant?  Over the past 3 shifts in the ER we have seen so many people with the flu I have lost count.  These folks on average have waited 2 hours to get back to a room only to be told that we can try to treat their symptoms but there is no cure.  I have be called every name in the book, I have been told where to go and how to get there, and I have been told just how stupid these folks think I am.  Meanwhile, as they sat in the waiting room coughing and blowing their noses they have infected numerous other people who will be back in a couple of days with the complaint of  "flu-like symptoms"

OK rant over I feel better.

Now drink your juice and go clean your room.  Oh yeah, call your Mom she misses you.

Out of site but not out of mind

Apparently I make quite an impression.  A poster that I have had rather nasty interactions in the past and have gone out of my way to avoid for the last several months has made a less than flattering reference to yours truly in a recent post.  I find is amusing that someone who will cause me to leave a thread with just his presence, who I have not made a reply post, whom I have not rated and who has not rated me would reference me.

How do you like that tune I'm singing.

I'm beginning to understand the frustration.

I just tried to make an appointment to see a family physician.  You would think being in the brotherhood would get me an easier pass in the door...................you would think that........................you would be wrong.

I called 4 physicians to see who was taking new patients (insured patients) finally found one whose office will send me paperwork to return and from there it will take 2 weeks to be seen.  It's a good thing there isn't anything horribly wrong or I could be terminal by the time I get in.

Last night in the ER we had a 3 hour wait and it was one of the shortest in the city.  There are multiple reasons for that wait but if insured patients are being put off weeks the uninsured, underinsured, and medicaid patients are doomed.
